After breakfast gear up for a sightseeing tour in Vadodara, the city located in Gujarat state of India which houses many heritage sites and parks. Today morning visit the Champaner-Pavagadh Archeological Park known for its oldest rock formations, Jama Masjid, Kewda and Nagina Masjids.

Your sightseeing tour covers City Palace, the beautiful Ghats of City Palace, Jag Mandir, the beautiful bazaars and gardens of the city. Maharaja Express arrives in Jodhpur in the morning. Once the princely state of the Marwar Rajputs, Jodhpur is known as the Sun City of Rajasthan. It is called the enigmatic city of India which houses forts and palaces. You would be thrilled when you go on a village safari to the Rohet Village which is home to the descendents of Rathore of Champawat and Bishnoi village. The Bishnoi community is known for their preservation of nature and they raise the black buck antelope.

Visit also the Rohetgarh Palace which has been converted into a heritage hotel. Visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort located on a hillock overlooking the blue city. In the evening return to the train.

The new luxury train of India, Maharaja Express arrives in Bikaner in the morning. This is the one of the city in Rajasthan which keeps medieval charm.  Known as the camel city of India Bikaner houses the largest camel breeding farm of Asia. Visit the Junagarh Palace and explore its inner palaces. It has also an adjacent museum.

After lunch, a village safari will be arranged. You would explore the rural charm of this desert city. Visit the rat temple located at Deshnoke village. Then return to the train and take rest. Dinner is served on board - Maharaja Express.

Jaipur, the erstwhile princely state of the Kachawa Rajputs houses many forts and palaces. It is known as pink city. The main attractions are Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall Museums and various other temples and gardens.

First you will visit the Amber Fort located on a hillock overlooking the Jaipur city. The Sheesh Mahal is enchantingly beautiful. Then you would be taken to the villages of Kukas where you watch the polo exhibition match. Polo was a royal game to the kings of Jaipur.  Visit also the other main attractions of the city and the colorful bazaars of Jaipur. Come back to the train and dinner will be served to you

On the 7th day of Maharaja Express Train tour the train arrive at Sawai Madhopur which houses the Ranthambore National Park. Jungle safari will be arranged for you. Spot the wild animals in the jungle of Ranthambore. You might be lucky to have a view of the royal Bengal tiger.

The train departs for Agra. On arrival visit Agra Fort, Baby Taj and the local markets. On board dinner - Maharaja Express.

Early morning go for a jungle safari in the Ranthambore National Park. Once the hunting reserve of the maharajas of Jaipur, Ranthambore Park houses a wide variety of flora and fauna. The main attractions are indeed its tiger population. Spot the wild animals.  

Return to the train. Have your sumptuous lunch. Then Maharaja Express will leave for Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan. On arrival explore the beauty of pink city. First explore the markets of Jaipur and other travel attractions of the city such as Hawa Mahal, City Palace, and Albert Hall Museum. Proceed towards Amber Fort and explore the architecture of this giant fort located on a hillock of Aravali hills.

 
Jeep ride to the romantic hamlet of Kukas and enjoy the Elephant Polo match here. Then Return to the station and board the train for your onward journey. The train leaves for Bikaner, the camel city of Rajasthan. Dinner on board.  

Early morning you will arrive in Bikaner. After breakfast on board explore the Bikaner city and its forts and palaces. This camel city of Rajasthan is known for its best riding camels. The whole day is reserved for our sightseeing in Bikaner. Visit also the temples.  

After lunch, proceed towards the rural villages of Bikaner. Explore its desert beauty. Enjoy the sunset view on the sand dunes. After a lifetime desert village experience return to Maharaja Express. It will depart for Jodhpur, the Sun City of Rajasthan. 

Reach Jodhpur today in the early morning. After a leisurely breakfast, get ready for a full day tour in Jodhpur located at the edge of the Great Indian Thar desert. Explore the other wonders of Jodhpur city. Enjoy a jeep ride through the rugged villages of Jodhpur. Visit the Bishnoi village that raises the black buck antelope.

First visit the City Palace and other attractions of the city. After lunch visit the colorful markets of Udaipur. Enjoy more time in the romantic city. 

Board the train in the evening. The train will depart for Vadodara.

Disembark at Mumbai railway station. Then go on a sightseeing tour in Mumbai. Explore its museums, Gate way of India, bazaars and beaches.  

On arrival in Kolkata you enough time to explore the renaissance capital of India. You would board the train at Kolkata railway station. After completion of the boarding formalities welcome drink is served.  

The train departs for Gaya in Bihar. Spend the night onboard.

Reach Gaya in the early morning. Today’s tour covers the destinations-Rajgir, Bodhgaya and Nalanda. Gaya is a pilgrimage site both for Hindus and Buddhists.

Varanasi, the Hindu holy dham is located on the bank of the River Ganga. It is the site of classical India with its Ghats, sadhus, temples and bazaars. Explore the temples, meet the sadhus, visit Sarnath, enjoy a boat ride on Ganga.

Reach Umaria. Proceed towards the Bandhavgarh National Park, once the hunting reserve of the maharajas of Rewa. Spot the wild animals.  

On the 5th day of Maharajas Express Train tour explore the erotic temples of Khajuraho, a World Heritage Site. The entire temple complex houses temples which have erotic sculptures which show the fusion of erotica and spirituality. The eastern set of temples house Jain temples and the western sect of temples are example of Chandela art and architecture.
