The royal journey starts from the capital of Karnataka, Bangalore. It is situated in South-Eastern Karnataka. It is also known as the Silicon Valley of India. Bangalore is one of the most dynamic metropolises of India which is noted for its seamless intermeshing of tradition, modern day technological and industrial progress.
2:30 PM: Reach Leela Palace. Thereafter, have lunch at Jamawar for authentic Indian cuisine.
03:00 PM: You would visit various attractions of the Bangalore city in luxury air-conditioned coach. Visit the magnificent Tipu Sultan's Palace, the abode of 17th century emperor of Mysore. Also, visit the Bull temple dedicated to Nandi Bull, the Vahana (vehicle) of Lord Shiva situated in Basavanagudi. Finally, explore the Lalbagh Botanical Garden, initially developed as a private garden in an area of 40 acres by Hyder Ali, one of the most famous rulers of old Mysore in 1760 and father of Tipu Sultan.
08:00 PM: Reach the Yeshwantpur Railway Station, Platform No. 6 for boarding The Golden Chariot. You would receive a regal welcome abroad the Golden Chariot. Thereafter, you will have dinner aboard the train.
09:00 PM: Departure for Mysore
11:30 PM: You would reach Mysore, the kingdom of Tipu Sultan. Dinner and overnight abroad the train

10:00 AM: Visit the Rajiv Gandhi National Park at Kabini, Bandipur after taking your breakfast. Explore the former hunting ground of the former Maharajas of Mysore. Now, it is a wildlife sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to more than 300 hundred species of birds and you would get the glimpses of various wild animals like elephant, gaur, sambar, chital, wild boar whereas predators like tiger and leopard are a rare sight.
01:00 PM: After the exciting sight seeing of the morning, you would have lunch at the Jungle Lodge.
03:00 PM: Enjoy the Jungle / Boat Safari. Return in the evening for a wildlife film. Dinner and stay overnight at the Jungle Lodge.

08:30 AM: After taking sumptuous breakfast, you would proceed to Mysore which is known for former royal families such as Wodeyars etc. The magnificent palaces and splendid buildings are still reminiscent of Wodeyar kings. Mysore has rich tradition of arts, dance and literature. Mysore is famous all over the world for it sandalwood and fine silks.
11:30 AM: Com back to the train for taking some rest and leisure.
01:00 PM: You will have lunch abroad the Golden Chariot train
03:00 PM: After taking lunch, you would visit the Mysore Palace. It is built in Indo-Saracenic style with domes, turrets, arches and colonnades. The palace has rich collection of artworks from all over the world. The golden throne of the palace is displayed during the Dasara festival. Next, visit Srirangapatnam which is the island fortress of Tipu Sultan.
07:00 PM: You would proceed for Vrindavan Gardens which is famous for it’s finely spread out gardens. It abuts the Krishnaraja Saga Dam. These gardens were designed and conceived by Sir Mirza Ismail, Dewan of the princely State of Mysore. This garden has many terraces, parterres, fountains, running and cascading water channels, water chutes, lush green lawns, flower beds, shrubs and trees. It is a very beautifully illuminated garden. Your dinner would be arranged at Hotel KRS.
10:00 PM: You would return back to the Golden Chariot train to relax.

06:00 AM: You would proceed from Mysore for Hassan
08:15 AM: The golden Chariot arrives at Hassan.
09:00 AM: You proceed for visiting Shravanabelagola which is an important Jain sacred place. It is situated some 52 km from Hassan. Here, you have the largest statue of Lord Gomateswara standing tall at 58 ft. towering above the scenic Vindhyagiri Hills. Jain pilgrims congregate here after every 12 years to take part in head-anointing ceremony.
Important: You have to climb around 700 steps to relish the sight of this architectural marvel. Those unwilling to ascend these steps can stay back abroad the Golden Chariot train. However, there is availability of palanquins for those who can’t climb by themselves. It does not entail any extra costs.

03:00 PM: The Golden Chariot will leave for Belur situated 38 kms from Hassan. The Hoysala Temple Complex which was built by Hoysala Vishnuvardhana to celebrate his victory over the Cholas dynasty. This complex is a major tourist attraction with splendid temples like Chennakesava Temple. After Belur, Halebid is another stopover with a similar complex devoted to extremely beautiful temples. It is 27 km from Hassan with a magnificent Hoysaleswara Temple. It used too be the capital of Hoysala dynasty. This architectural splendor is erected on a star-shaped base. The temple is decorated with sculptures of Hindu deities, sages, stylized animals, birds and friezes depicting the life of the Hoysala Kings.

08:30 AM: After having your sumptuous breakfast abroad the Golden Chariot train, you will set out to explore the magnificent World Heritage site of Hampi. It was once the capital of great Vijayanagara Empire which was destroyed wantonly by the marauding Mughal invaders. It was once renowned for its great riches. Now, the splendid ruins of the place lies scattered desolately over an area of 26 sq. Km. the ruins are enclosed by the Tungabhadra river in the North and granite rocky ridges on the other three sides. Crossing Tungabhadra on a coracle to Anegundi village would give you an insight into traditional life of rural Karnataka. Visit Virupaksha Temple and buy interesting curios from the local craft bazaar.
01:00 PM: Come back to the Golden Chariot train for lunch
03:00 PM: you would again leave for visiting numerous attractions of the place like Royal enclosure, Hazara Rama Temple and illuminate Vittala Temple.
08:00 PM: Return for Dinner serves abroad the luxury train
