The golden Chariot is inspired by the former royalty of Mysore. The journey unravels before you the rich heritage of Karnataka. It comprises of a total of 18 coaches of which there are 11 passenger coaches, 2 restaurant coaches, 1 lounge bar, 1 Coach for the Spa and Gym and 1 coach for the staff.
The passenger coaches are named after reigning dynasties and empires of yesteryears of Karnataka. They are in the following sequence:
Each air-conditioned coach has entirely carpeted floor, elaborate carvings on ceiling, wall panels and furniture done after Mysore and Hoysala architecture. There are 26 twin beds, 17 double bed cabins and a single cabin for the physically challenged guests. Each cabin has twin beds or double beds with cupboards for storage of luggage, a side table, lushly carved writing desk and bedspreads and upholstery made of rich silks, especially hand woven to ensure quality. An individual attached bathroom is fully equipped toiletries. The internal facilities include Wi-Fi, LCD television, DVD with 6 satellite channels and wardrobe.
