Rashtrapati Bhavan or the President’s House
- Rashtrapati Bahwan is a colonial heritage. It was the residence of the Viceroy of India. The entire building sprawls over an area of 330 acres. The Mughal Garden is located inside the complex.
India Gate
- The major landmark of New Delhi, India Gate is a war memorial arch built in memory of the Indian soldiers who lost their live during the First World War. It is the most popular hangout where lots of Delhiites and tourists gather in the evening time.
Akshardham Temple
- One of the modern architectural marvels, Akshardham Temple is a must see attraction in Delhi. The temple complex covers an area of 100 acres. The architecture is a fusion of old Indian architecture and the modern designs. The walls have intricate carvings. The ambience is lit by the musical fountain.
Bahai Lotus Temple
- This temple design represents a Lotus shape. It is located on a hill at Kalkaji. This marble built temple looks beautiful and it reminds the Sydney Opera House. The architecture is made from whit marble.
Qutub Minar
- Qutub-ud-Din Aibak, the founder of slave dynasty built this minaret. The minaret towers 238 feet. The iron pillar located here belongs to 5th century.
Humayun’s Tomb
- Humayun’s Tomb is the first garden tomb in India. The marble dome towers 140 feet. Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyath designed the architecture of the building.
Iskon Temple
- Iskon Temple is located on a hillock at East of Kailash. It is the shrine for worship of the Hindu God Lord Krishna. The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) built this temple in 1998. The interiors are adorned with paintings of Radha-Krishna, Sita-Ram, Laxman, Hanuman and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu created by Russian artists.
Birla Mandir or Lakshminarayan Temple
- This Hindu temple is built in 1938 and it is dedicated to the goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and good fortune. It is located at Connaught Place.
Raj Ghat and other Memorials
- The cremation sites located on the bank of the Yamuna River are of national leaders of India. Raj Ghat is for Mahatma Gandhi, Shanti Vana for Jawaharlal Nehru, Vijay Ghat for Lal Bahadur Shastri, Shakti Stahl for Indira Gandhi and Vir Bhumi for Rajiv Gandhi.
National Museum
- The largest museum of India, National Museum is a must see attraction in Delhi. This museum displays various artifacts from pre-historic age to modern era.
